Ultimately, it's a combination of price and the "PD" part of the name. USB-C has a feature called Power Delivery, which is frequently shortened to PD in descriptions. USB-C PD means it can output at higher power levels, which your Nintendo Switch needs to charge while you're playing it. Without Power Delivery, most batteries can't provide more energy than the Switch consumes when playing a game. That means your Switch will run out of power slower, but it will still eventually run out of power when connected to an average battery. 

Your Nintendo Switch is great for a couple of hours away from the dock, but then it needs power. The fastest way to charge your Switch is usually to put it back in the dock because Nintendo's included power adapter has some special features to charge your Switch battery quickly but safely. It turns out you can get very nearly as close to the same charge rate if you use a USB-C battery with Power Delivery. 

Not everyone wants a big-honkin' battery. Sometimes all you want is something you can slide in your pocket or clip on to the back, so it's all one piece with the Switch. These alternatives not only exist, but they're pretty good. 

You can buy giant batteries to power your Switch multiple times over, but you may not be super happy about carrying it around places. These batteries are often heavy or oddly shaped, making them difficult to fit in a pocket or small carrying case for your console. The Powerstation XXL is pretty darn big, but it's actually smaller than most batteries in its category. It's capable of charging up your Switch with an additional 14 hours of use, but like many USB-C battery backups, it'll only keep it from going dead if you're trying to play and charge at the same time.

If you don't want to worry about cables, this is your best bet for a Switch battery. It's like a charging case for your Switch. It clips on to the back of the device and has a USB-C plug that sends the juice to your Switch. It also has a little compartment on the back so you can take two additional game cards with you. It has a long kickstand on the back, instead of that awkward and unbalanced design the Switch comes with. The four-light status LEDs on the side will let you know when the charger needs its own charge.

It has 10000mAh battery, so you're going to get 10+ hours of additional gameplay out of it. When you're just going to need a little extra power while you shred games in the car, you'll get through a few additional hours of leveling before you need to re-up. Plus, that helpful stand makes it a lot easier to play multiplayer games in tabletop mode.

If you don't see yourself using a kickstand while playing your Nintendo Switch on the go, then this battery attachment will be the perfect fit for you. Unlike other batteries that attach directly to the unit, this one isn't nearly as bulky, so your fingers won't get extended further while your grasping the Switch in your hands. However, it does make the Switch weigh more, so you need to be prepared for that.

Anker makes a solid quality battery. Considering it packs a hefty juice box, it's pretty sleek. Its biggest downfall is that it's a tad overpriced, likely because of official licensing.

Bottom line

When you combine power output, price, and design, the Anker PowerCore+ battery quickly becomes the best option for just about every situation. Not only is the Anker PowerCore+ huge with its 26,800mAh capacity, but it can also push out that energy with enough current to keep your Switch topped off even when jamming along in Mario Kart 8. At the price, you get the biggest bang for your buck. That's why we recommend it above everything else: It will keep you going longer than anything else on this list.

By far, the most significant feature of the XM3s is their class-leading active noise canceling (ANC). Not only does it make traveling much easier by completely drowning out things such as planes and trains; they're excellent at blocking out higher-pitched sounds as well. The ANC you get out of the XM3 is legitimate, and it sometimes feels like you're in an empty room. 

In terms of sound quality, bass heads will rejoice here. The sound quality of the XM3s lean heavily on the bass giving it a ton of thump and rumble. So much so that it can often sound overbearing and muddy. The mid-range is relatively neutral, and the treble region is recessed heavily giving the XM3 an overall warm and dark sound signature. Those who don't like a ton of bass should avoid these.

Bluetooth codec support here is excellent. The XM3s support everything from SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX-HD, and LDAC. The only codec that's missing is aptX-LL, which would get you ridiculously low latency over a Bluetooth connection. However, it's understandable that it isn't there because the XM3s have to do a ton of post-processing for the ANC. 

Battery life is excellent with up to 30 hours of wireless listening time on a single charge. They even have fast-charging capability over USB-C that will get you five hours of listening in a 10-minute charge, which is impressive. One downside to the XM3 when it comes to charging is that you can't use them while wired or wireless. The XM3s will disable all functions until you unplug the USB-C cable.

Most, if not all, modern over-ear headphones nowadays come with active noise cancelation (ANC) in the box; especially if you're looking for wireless over-ear headphones. The Plantronics Backbeat Pro 2 is our pick for the best overall pair of headphones.

First things first: the sound quality on the Backbeat Pro 2 are exceptional, and bass heads will be happy. They feature an overemphasized bass that gives the Backbeat Pro 2 an overall bass-heavy sound signature. Both the mid-range and the treble are neutral with almost zero overemphasis on either region. 

In terms of Bluetooth audio codecs, the Backbeat Pro 2 perform excellently. While they don't support the AAC codec, they do have support for SBC, aptX, and aptX-LL. With aptX-LL, you'll get ultra-low latency for a Bluetooth headphone with latency somewhere between 30-40ms. In comparison, most other Bluetooth codecs have latency around 100-150ms. 

Comfort-wise, the Plantronics Backbeat Pro 2 are super comfortable and shouldn't give you much trouble when it comes to comfort. This is important as they feature up to 24 hours of battery on a single charge. And when the battery is dead, you can charge the Backbeat Pro 2 over its Micro-USB port.

If you're looking for ridiculously long battery life, the Tribit XFree Tune are the right headphones for you. They last up to 24 hours on a single charge which will get most people through the week without needing to recharge. 

In terms of sound quality, the XFree Tune perform decently well. The bass is elevated but isn't too overwhelming. The mid-range is neutral and smooth, and the treble has an emphasis, making some tracks sound overly bright. On the bright side, they do support the AAC audio codec which means you'll get higher-fidelity audio and lower latency versus only having the SBC codec.

For comfort, the XFree Tune are excellent. In our testing, we're able to wear these for hours on end without any issues. Ears stayed relatively cool, the headband wasn't pushing up against the head, and it didn't feel like the ear cups were squeezing the head at all. 

Sennheiser is known for its stellar sound quality and the Momentum Wireless 3 don't disappoint. The low- and mid-bass are neutral and flat, while the upper-bass and entire mid-range is a bit recessed but flat. The treble itself is neutral and flat as well. Dynamic range is excellent, and soundstage is above average for an active noise canceling (ANC) headphone. 

Speaking of, ANC performance on the Momentum Wireless 3 is superb. While it isn't as good as what you would find on the Sony WH-1000XM3, it's super close. The Momentum Wireless 3 are able to block out most low-end and midrange noise, struggling only in the treble region, which is typical of ANC headphones. They also feature an ambient sound mode, which allows you to hear the environment around you without taking off the headphone. Fortunately, the ambient sound mode of the Moment Wireless 3 are some of the best we've heard. It sounds very true to life, and in most cases feels like you don't have headphones on at all. If we had to rank the top three ANC headphones, the Sony WH-1000XM3 would be the top dog, with the Bose Noise Canceling Headphones 700 in second, and the Sennheiser Momentum Wireless 3 as a close third.

Battery life is below average for an ANC headphone coming at 17 hours of battery life. Ideally, you'd want 20+ hours of battery life on a single charge, especially at this price. Fortunately, they charge over USB-C and you can charge and listen at the same time. Unfortunately, the Momentum Wireless 3 do not support fast charging.

Comfort is excellent for the most part with the Momentum Wireless 3, with no issues with ear fatigue, heaviness on the crown, or pain. The ear cups and headband are super soft and comfortable; however, the ear cups do get warm after several hours of usage. 

The Skullcandy Grind are a great set of on-ear headphones that won't break the bank. Its design is rather minimalist with only a Skullcandy logo on the outside, above the ear cup.

Battery life is excellent as well with up to 12 hours of battery life; they should last you throughout the day without issue. Unfortunately, there's no fast charging which means charging the Grind from dead will take approximately 3 hours to come to a full charge. You'll also get Micro-USB instead of USB-C when it comes to charging. 

Fortunately, the sound signature is perfect. The bass is relatively neutral and smooth with no issues there. The mid-range has a slight boost in the upper-mids, which will give the Grind a slightly brighter sound. And this extends well into the treble as well, as the entire region is boosted ever so slightly. 

In terms of comfort, the Grind more than does its job. Since it's an on-ear solution, you don't have to worry about your ears getting warm. The headband extends well and doesn't get in your way either. 

Apple essentially started the truly wireless revolution, and the AirPods are now the best selling wireless earbuds on the market. Now, with the introduction of AirPods Pro, Apple has made the best truly wireless earbud on the market.

Let's tackle the elephant in the room: sound quality. Just like previous AirPods, it's not going to blow your mind away. While the sound signature is vastly improved over the previous generation AirPods, it still has a long way to go. The bass is flat and smooth, but slightly recessed, and the midrange is also flat and smooth, but slightly enhanced and pushed forward. The treble, while neutral, will sound a bit dull and lacking in detail to most people. 

Active noise cancelation (ANC) performance on the AirPods Pro is excellent. It compares favorably to the Sony WF-1000XM3, which is the only other truly wireless ANC earbud on the market. Both are equally as good, but the AirPods Pro's ANC is more consistent.

AirPods Pro also have decent battery life with 4.5 hours of listening time with ANC enabled, three hours when on a phone call, and five hours of listening time with ANC disabled. The included charging case gets you even more hours of listening time. The case itself is still impressively small and charges via Lightning (wired) and supports Qi wireless charging. Battery life is by far the "worst" thing about the AirPods Pro as many true wireless earbuds are now getting 6-10 hours of listening time before needing to recharge.

Comfort is excellent and this is mostly thanks to the proprietary snapping mechanism for the ear tip. Instead of having a plastic stem that protrudes, the ear tips on AirPods Pro snap right onto the bud itself. This means the portion that gets stuffed into your ear is purely the silicone ear tip. 

Being the successor to the Bose QC35 IIs, the Noise Canceling 700s do an outstanding job at canceling out noise. Not only do they do the standard blocking out low-end noise, the Noise Canceling 700s make improvements in the mid-range and treble. As with most ANC headphones, they still struggle with non-consistent noises such as talking. Where Bose takes it a step further with the Noise Canceling 700s is that these now offer up to 11 different steps of ANC that can be toggled within the app. This allows you to control the amount of ANC you want on a more intricate level. 

In terms of sound quality, Bose has once again made significant improvements in this area. The overall sound is rather neutral, with the bass and mid-range being very natural and balanced. The treble, compared to the QC35 IIs, have been significantly reduced to lower the sibilance and fatigue you would hear with the QC35 IIs. Unfortunately, this means that the Noise Canceling 700s also lose quite a bit of brightness and airiness that the QC35 IIs had. 

The Noise Canceling 700s and the QC35 Iis share a lot in common. For example, they both still have the great 20 hours of battery life, SBC and AAC Bluetooth audio codecs support, support for hands-free Alexa and Google Assistant, and are both super comfortable for long-term use. 

The only real downside of the Noise Canceling 700s is that it doesn't have a folding design. This means that when you pack them away in your bag, the carrying case is quite large as it has to accommodate the entire un-folded design of the headphone. And they're expensive, so maybe wait until they get a discount. 

The JBL UA True Wireless Flash are fantastic for working out. First and foremost, they feature IPX7 water resistance, which means it'll be able to withstand sweat, rain, puddles, and practically anything else. Just don't swim with them in since they're not rated to take while swimming. 

Sound quality is excellent as the UA True Wireless Flash have a near-neutral sound signature. The lower-treble is slightly recessed but otherwise the sound signature is rather neutral and flat. Dynamic range is excellent and soundstage isn't great but that's expected as most earbuds lack a great soundstage. 

They're comfortable too and have no issues with ear fatigue or discomfort. The buds don't enter the ear canal at all, which is always a bonus as long as it doesn't compromise on sound quality. It uses a wing and bud combination, which helps with comfort and fit. 

When it comes to battery life, the UA True Wireless Flash are decent. The buds get up to five hours of audio playback before you have to recharge. The charging case adds an additional 20 hours of listening, totaling 25 hours of battery life. Unfortunately, they charge over the aging Micro-USB connector instead of the more modern USB-C connector.  

The Mixcder E9 feature some of the best battery life for its price with up to 30 hours on a single charge. That's more than enough juice to get you through something like a long flight. However, the E9 still uses Micro-USB for charging, which is unfortunate as most modern peripherals are now using USB-C.

In terms of sound quality, the E9 are excellent. It features a near-neutral sound signature only lacking in treble ever so slightly. Most people won't hear the slightly recessed treble. Dynamic range and soundstage are spacious and wide for a closed-back headphone. 

The E9 are also fortunately very comfortable. The ear cups are large and extend deep, allowing for the biggest and widest of ears to fit. The headband is made out of nice leather and is reinforced with steel. While comfort is fantastic, the headphone errors on the heavier side which can be annoying and slightly discomforting for some.

Everyone deserves to have a solid pair of wireless headphones, but if you've never purchased a pair before, you may be lost on where to start your shopping. Thankfully, we have a few tips to make your buying decision a little easier. Above all else, you'll need to decide what style of headphones you want — in-ear, on-ear, or over-ear. Each one has a unique style/fit, meaning one isn't necessarily better than the other. Once you've decided which of these is right for you, there are three other features that you should be thinking about. These include sound quality, noise cancelation, and battery life. Some headphones will kick out more bass, while others are more balanced. Most headphones will block out sound to some degree with the way they rest on your head, but others have a feature called "active noise cancellation" that uses microphones to actively block out ambient sound. Lastly, battery life is pretty self-explanatory. The longer the battery life headphones have, the longer they last before needing to be charged up.

Bluetooth headphones will continue to evolve as more devices come out without a headphone jack. Smartphones were the first device to ditch the jack, and now tablets and even some computers are removing them entirely.

Over-ear headphones may not be as popular as they once were but they still have a place in the market. They're great for when you want the best sound quality you can possibly get from a headphone. Portable, and especially wireless (Bluetooth) headphones have exploded over the past decade and that's why the Sony WH-1000XM3 have taken our top spot as the best overall headphone you can buy right now. 

No surprise here. Sony still remains king of active noise-canceling (ANC) headphones, and Bluetooth headphones in general, with its WH-1000XM3. Not only does it have class-leading ANC, it tries to shove every possible feature you might want in a headphone into it while still retaining a great 30 hours of battery life on a single charge. When the WH-1000XM3 are dead, you can plug the included USB-C cable in and get a quick charge. Ten minutes of charge nets you five hours of listening time. Unfortunately, during that time you wont be able to actually use your headphones.

Sound quality is decent out of the box if you're a fan of a bass-heavy, dark sound signature. However, that won't really matter much as the companion smartphone (available on both Android and iOS) can adjust this. 

You can also enable an ambient sound mode by using your palm to cover the right ear cup. This lets you hear the environment around you without having to remove your headphone. Arguably this could be implemented better since holding your hand over the right ear cup for more than 15 seconds can get fatiguing, fast. 

The WH-1000XM3 are also comfortable. It's not optimal (personally I get a pain on the crown of my head after several hours), but definitely better than most other headphones I've tried. The ear cups and headband are super soft.

Without a doubt, if you're looking for the best over-ear headphones around, you'll want to check out the open-back Sennheiser HD650. These headphones are probably the most comfortable headphone on the market. The ear cups and headband feel like absolute pillows — no complaints when it comes to comfort or fatigue. Since they're open-back you don't have to worry about your ear getting warm.

If we had to have a gold standard for sound quality, the HD650 takes the cake. The soundstage is super wide thanks to the open-back design. Mid- and upper-bass, along with the mid-range and treble, is super smooth and neutral. Nothing is elevated or overpowering. The HD650 brings that low-bass in and punches it hard.

There are two major downsides to the HD650. The open-back design means your audio will leak no matter what environment you're in, so, you'll probably want to use them at home. The other major downside is these headphones require an amp to get the most out of them. You can try plugging them into your phone but you'll most likely need to max out the volume to even get any sort of sound out of them. Fortunately, the HD650 doesn’t need that much amplification so most if not all amps will work. Also, it uses a proprietary cable on the headphone end. Fortunately, the cable is detachable and Sennheiser seems to be pretty good at keeping the cable in stock. 

If you're looking for the best bang for your buck, look no further than the Mixcder E9 Wireless. First and foremost, comfort on the E9 Wireless are superb. The ear cup and headband design resemble the Bose QC35 IIs quite a bit and this means in terms of comfort the E9 Wireless are only a smidge worse than the QC35 IIs. 

In terms of sound, the E9 performs quite well here, especially for the price. The bass, and midrange response is flat and neutral, while the low-treble is only slightly recessed while the rest of the sound signature is equally as flat and neutral.

Battery life is equally as great with up to 30 hours of battery life on a single charge with ANC enabled. The headphones charge over Micro-USB, and the ANC feature can be used even when wired, which is a bonus. The ANC performance on the E9 Wireless is okay at best. It does a great job at reducing sound all across the board but doesn't particularly block out any one sound. For example, it'll reduce the sound of an engine but you'll still be able to hear it. 

The Sennheiser Momentum Wireless 3 offers some of the best sound in a Bluetooth headphone to date. While it doesn't compare to any wired options, the Momentum Wireless 3 feature boosted bass overall, a slightly recessed but flat midrange, and a neutral treble overall. Soundstage is excellent for a closed-back Bluetooth headphone, and dynamic range is equally as great. 

Comfort is pretty good here too with big, soft ear cups, and an equally as soft headband. The ear cups are attached to a sliding mechanism on each side of the headphone and extend far enough to that even people with big heads will fit them just fine. You won't have an issue with discomfort or fatiguing and you'll easily be able to wear them for extended periods of time.

The biggest weakness of the Momentum Wireless 3 is its battery life. The headphone is only capable of up to 17 hours on a single charge with ANC enabled. This is much less than the Sony WH-1000XM3 which feature 30 hours of battery life on a single charge. Fortunately, the Momentum Wireless 3 charge over USB-C, however they do not feature fast charging of any sort. This means you'll be waiting around 2 hours for them to charge it the headphone dies at all.

ANC performance is superb. It's not on the level of the Sony WH-1000XM3, but it's good enough. If we had to rank headphones by ANC performance, the Sennheiser Momentum Wireless 3 would comfortably be in second place behind the WH-1000XM3. 

Want wireless headphones with really long battery life? The Tribit XFree Tune are the right headphones for you. They last up to 40 hours on a single charge, which will get most people through the week. Sure, they charge over Micro-USB, which is outdated at this point, but this isn't a huge deal if you have a ton of older gadgets around.

In terms of sound quality, the XFree Tune perform well. The bass is elevated but isn't too overwhelming. The mid-range is neutral and smooth, and the treble has an emphasis, making some tracks sound overly bright. The sound can be defined as V-shaped, which some may like over a completely flat and neutral sound.

For comfort, the XFree Tune are excellent. There's no ear fatigue and the headphones are relatively light, so there shouldn't be any issues with the headband crushing your head. The ear cups and headband are made out of leather as well, which gives you a nice cushion.

Most headphones available on the market use dynamic drivers and that's for good reason. They're easy to manufacture, sound good, and can be used in anything as small as truly wireless earbuds up to large stadium speakers. However, there are other driver types out there, including planar magnetic. This is where the HiFiMan Sundara comes in — a set of planar magnetic headphones meant for people who care deeply about sound quality.

The sound quality here is good. The bass is neutral and flat, while the mids are relatively even with some marginal dips and elevation below and above neutral, respectively. The treble is where they fall short. The treble is fairly uneven with big dips and elevation throughout the entire range making the treble sound a bit odd. This is normal for planar magnetic headphones since they're typically great at reproducing bass and mids but suffer quite substantially with treble.

Comfort is decent. The ear cups and headband are fairly large. If you have a smaller head, the ear cups may actually extend past your jaw making them super uncomfortable for smaller headed people. Aside from the ear cups, the headphones themselves are fairly heavy thanks to the planar magnetic driver.

Bottom line

Over-ear headphones are getting smaller, more compact, and wireless. If that's what you're looking for, look no further than the Sony WH-1000XM3, which are the pinnacle of wireless headphone innovation. Stand out features include great portability for an over-ear headphone, excellent comfort, and ridiculously long battery life at 30 hours.

The WH-1000XM3 also currently offers _the best_ active noise cancelation (ANC) performance of any headphone by a mile. If you need ANC headphones, go with the WH-1000XM3. However, the biggest downside with them is that you can't charge and listen to them at the same time. Yes, they do feature quick charging, but as soon as you plug them in to charge, audio playback gets disabled whether you were listening over Bluetooth or through the 3.5mm connection.

How to choose the best over-ear headphones

While many people are ditching their over-ear headphones for more portable ones, they still play an important role in the headphone market, especially if you care about sound quality or soundstage. You have to consider comfort as well. These headphones will be over your ear, on your head, and possibly squishing the top of your head for several hours at a time. 

Of course, there's also impedance. While it's not that important when it comes to portable or wireless headphones, it's absolutely crucial when looking at high-end headphones. This is amplified when looking at open-back headphones.

Sound Quality

We're going to be honest here. If the sound quality wasn't great, headphones wouldn't have made our list, period. The number one thing that attracts people to over-ear headphones is sound quality. Nobody would knowingly choose to use over-ear headphones that sound like garbage. While we have a numerical list here, all of them sound really good and you can't go wrong with any of them.

Our top picks, the Sennheiser HD600 and the HiFiMan Sundara, are both solid for those who want the most accurate sound you can get. Both sets can essentially replicate neutral sound without much issue and if there are any inconsistencies can easily be EQ'd to fix any minor variations in sound.

Comfort

Comfort is easily the second most important thing when it comes to over-ear headphones. If they're not comfortable and you can't wear them for long periods of time, why have them in the first place? 

Easily the number one pick for over-ear headphone comfort are the Sennheiser HD650. Those things feel like absolute pillows on your ears and on your head. The clamping force isn't too strong so they don't add a ton of pressure on your head either. 

The next best is, unsurprisingly, the Sony WH-1000XM3. While not as comfortable as the HD650, they're comfortable enough and that's super important in the case that you need to use them for extended periods of time, perhaps while flying. When it comes to traveling, you'd want the most comfortable headphones you can find.

Impedance

In an attempt to not get overly technical, impedance indicates how much power and sound a headphone may require. The higher the impedance, the more power your headphone requires and the more likely you'll need an amp. Generally speaking, the lower the impedance the better. 

The magical number for mobile devices is typically 32 or lower. Anything higher means you'll probably need an amp of some sort to drive your headphones. That number isn't universal, however, as smartphones such as the LG V30 can theoretically drive headphones with an impedance of roughly 600. 

It's not like plugging in high-impedance headphones into a low-impedance device will result in no sound, either. That combination will likely work. However, you'll likely need to max out your phone's volume level to get some sound out of it, if at all. 

To nobody's surprise the Mpow H10 are our top pick in this regard. They're relatively inexpensive headphones designed for portable use. The Sony WH-1000XM3, Sennheiser Momentum Wireless 3 and Mixcder E9 Wireless are our next obvious choices since they were all designed for wireless use.

This little handheld powerhouse uses six AA batteries or your vehicle's auxiliary power port to keep you in business. What type of 3D printer should you get?

Despite the massive variety of sizes and shapes for 3D printers, there are really only two different styles. What kind of result you want will significantly affect which of those you choose.
FDM: FDM, or filament 3D printing, is the most common and often the most affordable choice. If you are a beginner looking to make large prints for cosplay, or you want to make practical prints, an FDM printer is probably the right way to go.

Resin: SLA printing, most often called resin printing, uses a liquid polymer that hardens when exposed to UV. It is more challenging to work with than FDM printers but can produce exquisitely detailed models. If you are looking to make RPG miniatures or even jewellery, then resin is a clear choice. 

The Ender 3 has been a fan favorite in the 3D printing community for years. Known for its cheap entry price, easy setup, and continued support, it is the perfect place to start your 3D printing journey.

The Ender 3 is an FDM printer, meaning it uses filament plastic to produce its models. This means you will need to buy yourself some filament to start printing. This roll of PLA will give you a nice selection of colors to start.

Setting up the printer is easy, just a few screws to tighten up and you will be printing straight away. The printer itself is simple to use with an LCD display to help you navigate the menus. Just choose the model you want to print, slice it on some software, and print it! Simple.

You may want to take your time to learn about the Ender 3 while you wait for the printer to arrive. The printer itself can take a little tweaking out of the box to really get the most of it, but 3D printing is a process and we all learn to tweak our printers to get that perfect print!

Fully enclosed printers like the Digilab are helpful for a lot of reasons. If you are teaching younger children to 3D print, it allows them to get close to the machine while still be safe from all the hot parts that may injure them.

An enclosure also allows you to control the environment inside the printer so you can print more exotic filaments like ABS or flexible materials like TPU. The more control you have, the easier it is to print an array of different materials and models.

The Digilab is also incredibly sturdy and should survive a long time of continuous printing. It would be an excellent setup in a classroom where kids could see the wonderful things they are making while not worrying about bumps or burns.

Resin printing is not for everyone. There is a lot more to do to make resin 3Dprinting safe, including wearing nitrile gloves, having isopropyl alcohol to clean the prints, and a light source to cure them. Once you have everything you need, though, resin printing is incredibly rewarding.

The Mars 2 from Elegoo ticks all the boxes for your first resin printer. It has an excellent price point so that you won't break the bank, and the build quality is excellent. Though the bed is a little small, it is great if you are printing small parts like D&D miniatures and jewelry.

The best thing about the Mars is the detail. With a 2K LCD screen, the details of even tiny models are impressive, and the printer can print extremely quickly thanks to the Monochrome display.
